I am not typically a romance reader, due to the predictability that’s often found in this genre, I found Her Mother’s Sins remarkably refreshing. There were the standard romantic scenes, but there was so much more. This was a mystery and adventure as well. The author dropped just enough hints and tidbits that the reader was anxious to continue on and learn what happened next. The romance almost seemed a side story that moved the main characters together and forward through the story. Where they aided each other and created the bond that helped them work together.

Set on the Coast of Western Australia, what's not to love about a small town romance/suspense? Based around an old motel needing renovation, town scandal, and shady characters, this is a read to curl up with on the sofa on a rainy day! (or a lazy day, take your pick )

Arina goes back to her old town to squash some family rumours but gets mixed up in more problems and the plot thickens. Quite hard to get into in the beginning but as I continued reading, about third of the way in I started getting into a bit more although it did seem to lose plot at times. I found quite a few grammatical errors which did become slightly annoying. At the beginning I couldn't 'click' with the main character Arina and found her quite childish and irritating. However, about half way through the book I began to click with her a bit more making the rest of the story easier to read. I did enjoy the big twist ;) A romantic thriller with suspense and mystery it was quite an interesting read but, unfortunately, not one I thoroughly enjoyed. It was an OK read and if you enjoy suspense, romance and thrillers then give it a try :) xx

There are twists and turns in this page turner that will take the reader on a gripping journey! It’s one of those stories that come along once in awhile that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I’m giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader! I’ll certainly be looking forward to reading more from Kitty Boyes in the future! I would definitely recommend this book! Hi Kitty, I truly enjoyed reading "You are Enough" what a fabulous, real little story that I believe young children can relate to. The lesson of learning to confide in an adult they are comfortable with to trust with any problem they have or maybe don't know how to express themselves and the adult can show them by being a good listener and helping them to express themselves.
Several lessons in this wee book for both children and adults! loved it immensely.

At times, the central romance was a little heavy-handed, with the “will they/won’t they” swinging in wildly divergent directions sometimes within the space of just a few paragraphs, and the overall mystery may have been just a tad convoluted in places, but the bad guys were bad, the good guys were good, and the final payoff was exciting. As an author of my own mystery series, one of my favorite parts of the book was the “ABOUT ME” included at the book’s conclusion. Ms. Boyes gives an unflinching account of her path as a writer, including many of the mistakes she made along the way. She is a determined and strong heroine who doesn't seem to want to rely on anyone, not even Matt with whom she has great chemistry. This romantic mystery has a slow-ish start. There is plenty of mystery to go around, anything from a hidden treasure to a lot of secrets that she didn't know about her family. It's a book that mystery/suspense lovers would surely enjoy.

The mysteries are many- treasure, family secrets- are they connected? There was also a lovely romantic tone as well. Arina is a determined heroine, who doesn’t flinch away from danger as she searches for answers. Matt was so charming, and the draw between them was fun to read. I also really enjoyed Jack, though not for the same reasons. All of the cast had their own flaws, as well as things to like, which made it hard for me and Arina on deciding who she could trust. If you like romantic mysteries this is a fabulous read. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

For a first novel I must say I am impressed. This story has all of the components a great book requires. Love - Romance - Suspense & Mystery. When you start reading you think your in for a beautiful story of young love in a small country town, but it turns out to be so much more than that. I found myself wanting more and I couldn't read fast enough to find out exactly what was going to happen next. You think you know where there story line is leading then - BAMMM! - nope you were completely wrong. I found this novel very enjoyable and found myself wanting more as it ended. Overall -Great Book - A great read - Definitely recommend buying/reading!

Arina goes back to her old town to squash some family rumours but gets mixed up in more problems and the plot thickens. Quite hard to get into in the beginning but as I continued reading, about third of the way in I started getting into a bit more although it did seem to lose plot at times. I found quite a few grammatical errors which did become slightly annoying. At the beginning I couldn't 'click' with the main character Arina and found her quite childish and irritating. However, about half way through the book I began to click with her a bit more making the rest of the story easier to read. I did enjoy the big twist ;) A romantic thriller with suspense and mystery it was quite an interesting read but, unfortunately, not one I thoroughly enjoyed. It was an OK read and if you enjoy suspense, romance and thrillers then give it a try :) xx

There are twists and turns in this page turner that will take the reader on a gripping journey! It’s one of those stories that come along once in awhile that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I’m giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader! I’ll certainly be looking forward to reading more from Kitty Boyes in the future! I would definitely recommend this book! Hi Kitty, I truly enjoyed reading "You are Enough" what a fabulous, real little story that I believe young children can relate to. The lesson of learning to confide in an adult they are comfortable with to trust with any problem they have or maybe don't know how to express themselves and the adult can show them by being a good listener and helping them to express themselves.
Several lessons in this wee book for both children and adults! loved it immensely.

Some secrets are meant to be kept. Boyes’ storytelling style is fun and inviting, keeping the pages turning with little in the way of lulls. At times, the central romance was a little heavy-handed, with the “will they/won’t they” swinging in wildly divergent directions sometimes within the space of just a few paragraphs, and the overall mystery may have been just a tad convoluted in places, but the bad guys were bad, the good guys were good, and the final payoff was exciting. As an author of my own mystery series, one of my favorite parts of the book was the “ABOUT ME” included at the book’s conclusion. Ms. Boyes gives an unflinching account of her path as a writer, including many of the mistakes she made along the way. It really resonated with me, and I applaud her perseverance in following her dream. This was definitely a respectable start to what has turned into a long-running series. I’ll be back for more!
